 We having reading the story The Ants and the Grasshopper. This is story is a fable story. A fable is a story when you describe a animal like a human and it teaches you a lesson.

Forces and Motion. Marble run

 On Tuesday, my group and I, made a marble run. We got into groups of 3 or 4. We had boxes that we used for the base of our marble run. We did it for learning about forces and motion. The class had to get near 20 secs. Are time was 3.58 secsonds.

I liked working together and having each idea going into our marble run.

I found it quite challenging when we didn't agree with most of the things. Next time I would make it bigger.

Kensuke`s Kingdom

 In class, we have been reading a book called Kensuke's Kingdom. Mrs Robins has been reading it to us as part of our readaloud each week. The story is about a boy called Michael that fell off a boat and met a man called Kensuke. They became friends - to find out more about the story please watch my screencastify below.

 We were Learning what type of animals magnetism and i did a whale! 

Forses and motion - a day of learning

Last week on Wednesday we got to learn different things. We had 3 actives from 3 different Class rooms   Each group completed a activities . The lego one was very hard for me because I dont do very hard things with lego  we had to do a ferries wheel

Digital technology Matariki Project - Blue bots QR codes

For Matariki we learnt about the Stars. We made a special blue-bot mat.  On the mat we had QR codes and  when you scanned them you learnt about the stars. The kids had to code the blue-bots  to get the QR codes.  We learnt that there are nine stars in  the cluster and that each star has its own name or meaning  that is connected to like the sea or the weather.

Kensuke’s Kingdom	A Voyage because it's a long journey by sea.	They wanted to go somewhere new.	They had to go through storms and the wavy sea and had to eat some food over and over again while the mum  was having problems with her tumy. And boy got of the boat and now on a island and he is getting eaten alive by mossieys
Iris and Dogstar	Vogue because `it’s long journey by sea	To get to their destination (Noméa)	Wind, annoying noises, sea sickness, hardly any sleep, almost falling overboard, leaks and weather.
Tautai by sisilia eteuati	A Trip because he's going on a plane to somewhere .	Grandmother's birthday.  She is turning sixty so he's going on a plane.	He's never been on a plane before so he's nervous.It was hard to say his name and he’s proud of his name
Hine-o-te-Rangi	A Misson beacuse she was trying ti set a record ti england ti nz	She had a dream to become the first woman to fly alone from england to new zealand.	People were being mean to her saying we won’t search for her if she got lost.
